How To Make Bharwa Karela in Masala - Try This Short & Easy Method



Ingredients:



1/2 kg karela

Salt as per taste

1/2 cup of fresh coconut

4 tablespoons of sesame seeds

Small piece of tamarind

1 whole garlic

3 large onions

25 green chili or 10-15 lavangi Mirchi

10-15 tablespoons of Oil




Method:


Half kg karela with peeled skin n then slit from the middle n remove

all the seeds from the karela. After removing all the seeds from all

of them add some salt n put a lit n leave it for 10-15min...

 

Take half cup of fresh coconut, 4 tablespoons of sesame seeds

(til) dry roast n keep it aside 


Small piece of tamarind soak and keep it aside1 whole garlic or 20 

25 garlic cloves 3 large onions 25 green chilies or if lavangi Mirchi

then 10-15…


Now make a paste of all these ingredients using the water in which

u soaked the tamarind n add salt as per taste....make sure u don't

add much water.....n the masala is ready...


After this clean the karela nicely by squeezing them in the saltwater

n then clean them with talk water 2-3 times n dry them properly and

make sure there is no water or moisture left inside...


Take a thick pan, put 10-12 tablespoons of oil ...after the oil is heated

add the filled karela properly in the pan n then add the remaining masala

on the sides of the pan.

{ Remember, Not to add water }. 


Put it in the lowest flame. N adds some mustard seeds on the top

N keep on checking in every 5 minutes, n after some time, the color

changes flip the karela n cook the other side. 


N put the lid. It almost takes around 20-30 minutes...
